Our Musical Journey

Our Story:

The Potluck Band has been captivating audiences since our inception. With a diverse repertoire, we bring the joy of live music to every event.  We're excited to share the story of The Potluck Band and invite you to  join us at our next show! Formed early 2020 by founding members Mike and  Sally Ramsey and Jeff Davis, our band has grown and evolved, welcoming  Steve Woolsey and Bill Hubbs  in 2025, and Steve Rosen in 2026 to round out our sound. 

Based in Nevada County, we love  bringing joy to every event, performing about 30 shows each year at a  wide variety of venues, including vineyards for wine tastings, private  parties, community events, local bars and restaurants, and weddings. Our musical style blends country, classic rock, oldies, and contemporary  hits, creating a lively and memorable experience for audiences of all  ages. Whether we're playing an intimate acoustic set or rocking out with  our full ensemble, our flexible lineup allows  us to tailor our music for any occasion—big or small.

 A fun fact about our journey: The band began almost by chance, when Mike  and Sally rediscovered their shared passion for music after years away  from performing. That spark quickly grew as they teamed up with Jeff,  and together they've built a close-knit group  that's become a staple in our local music scene.
